White Reactions to Interracial Unions Between People of Color - ColorQ Articles Etc: "White Reactions to Interracial Unions Between People of Color
Many people react negatively to seeing a member of their ethnic group with a member of another ethnic group. To play devil's advocate, let's claim the 'what is one of our women/men doing with an outsider?' reaction is almost 'natural'. Hold your flames. I am NOT against interracial unions. I am just stating that it is not incomprehensible that people (of any race) might feel, rightly or wrongly, that they should stick with their own kind."

Sad, but true. Why does it have to be that in any IRs, white has to factor in each one. That mainstream media rarely covers IRs between peoples of Color, i.e. black and Asian, Asian and Hispanic, etc. It's the Eurocentric bias that's gets under my skin everytime the media tells professional, well-educated single black women to date outside, preferably white men but you don't see the two paired together nor would they interview real-life BW/WM married couples. Nor does the media tell the sistas to date/marry Hispanic, African, Arab, Native American, Asian/PI, multiracial men either.
